About Jon

Born in the dusty foothills of Washington D.C., Jon traveled west to attend the USC School of Cinematic Arts where he graduated with a BA in Cinema Critical Studies in 2007.

Jon is a writer by trade, working on everything from original screenplays to copy and scripts for digital marketing campaigns. He’s fast, efficient, and able to skillfully push out a client’s theme and message in an original and entertaining way.

He’s worked on a variety of campaigns, most notably writing every single script and piece of copy for the Sony Pictures digital campaign for FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS. The viral PSA he wrote featuring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis has received rave reviews and even been written up by Entertainment Weekly.

Jon also has extensive knowledge of social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and even once signed up for a Friendster account just to see what it was like. He is able to cater his writing to suit individual platforms and understands how each functions differently as a social space.

Jon lives in Los Feliz where he always crosses the street when he sees a skunk.

What are people saying about Jon?

“He has the unique ability to take a germ of an idea, flesh it out, and make magic happen. His recent work on the Friends With Benefits campaign was hugely successful – and a great example of where he shines. He’s smart, savvy and so much fun to work with.”

– Danielle Kugell, Senior Producer, Jetset Studios

“Jon brings a canny awareness of bleeding edge memes and trends to the table at every ideation session. He’s a fast, wicked-sharp writer with a casually subversive sense of humor and a great instinct for what works when building a campaign aimed at the key Millennial demographic.”

– Matthew Wayne Selznick, Producer, Jetset Studios

“A sharp wit, a great sense of humor, and a natural understanding of what makes stories and words resonate has lead to the tremendous successes of the campaigns Jon has worked on. Not the least of which is the viral “Donate Your Status” campaign for Sony Pictures’ “Friends With Benefits.”
